When do I use the 20V and 2x20V Dual Power batteries?

Dual Power launched its revolutionary battery platform with two battery types: a 20V and a 2x20V version. The Dual Power batteries are compatible with more than 100 power and garden tools. But when to use which battery? And what’s in it for you?

Always the perfect battery at hand

Our 20V Li-ion battery is compatible with all 20V tools from our Dual Power range. They are numerous, ranging from cordless drills to reciprocating saws. There are two different 20V batteries: one with a capacity of 1.5Ah and one with 2.5Ah. We have also developed a 2x20V battery, which doesn’t only power all 40V tools, but also all 20V tools.

When do I use which battery?

The 20V battery is ideal for smaller tasks, where you only need to use your tool for a shorter amount of time. Our 20V impact drill can work for about 30 minutes with the 1.5Ah battery, whereas the 2.5Ah battery provides a runtime of about 43 minutes.

The 2x20V battery on the other hand is ideally suited for all Dual Power tools. When you use the 2x20V version on a 20V tool, it almost doubles the battery runtime, giving you plenty of time to finish all your chores and projects.
